Hi, I’m LIZ TIMONEY.
Maybe you have a team that needs inspiring, maybe you feel you train your people and nothing changes, maybe you feel like you have lost the sense of who you are in the midst of your successful business and family life?
You are not alone. Work is supposed to feel meaningful, you are supposed to feel joy and life is a game - but it is not monopoly.
If you are here and you are ready to start a new movement in your business or just in your own world - then hit the button and let’s find a time to talk.
My career started after a degree in Physics and Chemistry led me into the world of mainframes and analysis at the Royal Bank of Scotland - I then became a software trainer, a project manager and an education business manager in fairly quick succession.
My passion for learning and expansion grew when I became Learning Programmes Director for QA (the UK’s largest tech training company) where I worked with programmes from apprenticeship to masters level.
I have always been fascinated with careers and confidence after an early spell of reinventing myself at 16 from a bullied geeky kid to the college radio show host and community builder. So it makes sense to me that I now find myself increasingly speaking, writing and training about why people do the things they do. Behaviour and its roots in identity fascinate me endlessly and fuels my (sometimes relentless) optimism in people and their potential.
My Approach
I am obsessed with identity. I talk about the characters we play, the stories we tell ourselves and how we make meaning out of our lives. If everyone could see what was right in themselves and others, that would be a great start - the ‘what’s wrong?’ virus is stripping the joy from people’s lives and relationships.
My desire is to fuel a wave of increasing trust, meaning and joy in the world of work, so more people are happier at work. This would reduce stress and illness and create ripple effects into our homes of being more available for those we love.
